Plans have been submitted for the construction of ten new houses on vacant land on Bute Street in Old Glossop.

The proposals are for one four-bedroom and one three-bedroom detached house, six three-bedroom semi-detached properties and two two-bedroom semi-detached houses.

If approved by the High Peak Borough Council, the new homes would have driveways, providing off-street parking accessible from Bute Street.

The site is opposite the junction with Kilmory Fold and close to the old Shire Hill Hospital.

  • Single storey extensions to Hillcrest, Cote Lane, Hayfield
  • Proposed garage conversion and additional parking space to front at 4 Tarnside Fold, Simmondley, Glossop
  • Single storey rear addition at 15 Church Street, Hadfield, Glossop
  • Two storey detached residential annex at 25 Ryecroft, Manor Park Road, Glossop,
  • Single storey rear and front extension project at 82 Sunnyfields, Sheffield Road, Glossop
  • Two-storey side extension with attached garage at 3 Shallcross Road, Whaley Bridge
  • Single storey side extension to Winterhill Farm, Padfield Main Road, Padfield, Glossop
  • Replacement of one storey rear extension and conversion of half a double garage at 1 Stoneheads Rise, Whaley Bridge

Plans approved

Plans that have been given the green light and permission by High Peak Borough Council include:

  • Single storey rear extension project at 2 Hampshire Close, Glossop
  • Single storey extension to the rear of 7 Hobhill Meadows, Glossop
  • Change of use to light industrial of Glossop Brook Business Park Units 2 and 3, Surrey Street, Glossop
