The tick on the rise is mostly in the cities and the challenge now is to get visitors out of the regions.

“So that’s a big goal for us now, to get those people who are coming into the country to understand that it’s not just about the main cities, but also to get to some of our beautiful coastal areas, for example , in some of our wonderful rural settlements, and meet our people and learn about our tikanga and our pakiwaitara,” says Stephens.
