Ballina Community Radio is back in service to liven up your weekends!

BCR FM’s last license will come into effect this Saturday, November 20 and will last until November 2022.

This will once again allow the station to broadcast Saturdays and Sundays from 9:30 am to 11:00 pm on 101.9fm throughout Ballina and surrounding areas. The station will also continue to broadcast all shows online at www.bcrfm.ie and through smart speakers.

The station would like to acknowledge the continued support of local businesses in their sponsorship of program programming. Without the possibility of fundraising due to Covid-19, the overhead costs related to the operation of the station are covered by sponsorship alone.

Financial support from sponsors has enabled BCR FM to maintain a strong and dynamic community radio station broadcasting locally to Ballina and its diaspora across the world.

BCR FM is proud to announce four additional new presenters, each bringing their own unique style and talent to the airwaves, adding a new language show, music show and entertainment show to their schedule.

The new weekend schedule features a mix of musical performances including country, rock, soul, folk and blues, artists from the West of Ireland, classical and all your favorites.

BCR FM is a non-profit, volunteer-run station and will continue to partner with Mayo Northeast and its Tús initiative to provide short-term work opportunities.

The station continues to use its platform as a radio station to promote #shoplocal and #supportlocal. Be a part of their job by participating in their radio shows (text or WhatsApp to 087-0969562) and tune in to their shows. You can follow them on social media through Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. BCR FM looks forward to your active engagement during its 2021/2022 FM license term.
