After a long hiatus, Eoghan McDermott has broken his social media silence with a post to his Instagram Stories.
The DJ and TV presenter has remained silent on the radio for the past few months as he refrained from posting. However, he shared a cute photo of his dog wrapped in a blanket with his followers on Friday night.
The photo was his first snap in over a year on social media platform Instagram, as the latest photo on his grid is a photo of him and late presenter Caroline Flack, which was posted in February 2021.

The photo simply shows a close-up of an adorable fluffy brown dog.
Eoghan has remained silent on social media since leaving RTE 2FM in 2021.
RTE previously shared a statement on his departure, saying:
“RTÉ confirms that Eoghan McDermott will not return to RTÉ 2FM,” the statement read.
“His contract is due to expire shortly. RTÉ is developing a new direction for the 2FM Breakfast Show which will be revealed in the coming weeks. Doireann Garrihy will remain with the show.”
The former radio presenter has also deactivated his Twitter account after taking legal action in the High Court against the social media giant.
Mr. McDermott has filed documents against Twitter International Unlimited Company, but it is unclear what the action relates to.
His lawyers, Dublin-based firm Harringtons, confirmed that Mr McDermott had taken up the case.
The 38-year-old quit his role as co-host of the RTÉ station’s breakfast show in March 2021 after a brief period of unscheduled annual leave after more than six years with the broadcaster.
He previously presented Spin FM, as well as a stint working in London, before joining RTÉ in 2014.
