A convenience store in Dukinfield has teamed up with a grocery delivery app to give local families the chance to stock up on lunch groceries for just a penny.

To help ease the burden of the rising cost of living, Snappy Shopper is partnering with ten stores in Greater Manchester, including One Stop on Yew Tree Lane.

As many families prepare for their children to return to school and all the expense that entails, Snappy Shopper is offering a set of lunch essentials for just 1 pence to new and existing customers who order through the app or website.

The promotion runs from August 31 to August 2 September following a successful pilot project in Scotland.

The offer includes packed lunches such as multipack crisps, multipack yoghurts, multipack bananas or apples, multipack juices, bread or rolls and 100g of cold cuts.

Snappy Shopper’s Controller of Operations, David Stewart, said, “Supporting local retailers and the communities they serve is what Snappy Shopper is all about. We are proud to be able to work with our retailers to support families as they prepare to return to school and provide support with essential lunch items, during a difficult time for many. »
