NFL Network analyst and Valley fan favorite David Carr joins local sports radio in the upcoming football season.

Carr will make a weekly appearance on “CK on Sports,” which airs in Fresno on KCBL (1:40 p.m.), beginning in September. The former Fresno State and NFL quarterback will take questions from listeners during the new segment.

Local iHeartMedia/Fox Sports radio station broadcasts live football broadcasts from Fresno State.

“I’m thrilled to be a part of iHeartMedia’s shows this football season,” Carr said through a rep, adding that he was “super excited for a fantastic season of Bulldogs football.”

“CK on Sports” is hosted by local radio personality Christopher ‘CK’ Hall and can be heard on KCBL weekdays from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The show also airs in Bakersfield and Stockton.

In the new segment, called “The Audible,” Carr will discuss football at all levels, including high school, college and professional.

Carr’s weekly appearance is sponsored by Valley Children’s Healthcare. Carr has a long-standing relationship with the local hospital and helped broker a new ten-year stadium naming rights deal between Valley Children’s and Fresno State, which began this year.
