NEW YORK, June 01, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Cumulus Media’s Westwood One, the official audio partner of the NCAA, will broadcast the 2022 Women’s College World Series (WCWS), which will again be held at USA Softball Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City. Westwood One will air every WCWS match starting Thursday, June 2 with the preliminary rounds, when eight teams face off in a double-elimination format. The two survivors of the group will meet in a best-of-three series starting Wednesday, June 8 to determine the NCAA champion.

Broadcast teams for the series will include Ryan Radtke and Chris Plank as play-by-play announcers; Former Oklahoma and Team USA outfielder Destinee Martinez and Hall of Famer Leah (O’Brien) Amico will serve as analysts. Amico was a three-time WCWS Champion in Arizona and a three-time US Softball Olympic Gold Medalist. She still holds the NCAA record for the highest single-tournament batting average, hitting .750 in 1994.
