AEW has revealed two new matches for Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite.
Tony Khan has announced on social media that Jon Moxley will face Jay Lethal on the show. He then revealed on Busted Open Radio that CM Punk will also be going one-on-one with Max Caster.
“I have something exciting planned for Max Caster tonight on Dynamite. I really like Max Caster and Anthony Bowens, the Acclaimed, really, very much,” Khan said.
Tommy Dreamer then suggested a rap battle between Caster and PN News but the AEW president announced a match with Punk instead.
“Although I can’t do Max Caster against PN News, I can do Max Caster against CM Punk. I’m going to do it tonight. I can’t wait to see CM Punk’s face when Max Caster freestyles in the ring and says everything Max Caster is going to say to CM Punk tonight on TBS on Dynamite.”
Khan continued to say that Bowens is currently injured. He hasn’t wrestled since March 9 but isn’t expected to be out long term.
Khan announced Jon Moxley vs. Jay Lethal on social media on Wednesday morning. He noted that the match will pit a former AEW World Champion against a former Ring of Honor World Champion.
This week’s edition of Dynamite takes place from the Colonial Life Arena in Columbia, South Carolina.
The updated lineup for the show is as follows:
- CM Punk vs. Max Caster
- Jon Moxley vs. Jay Lethal
- Darby Allin (with Sting) vs. Andrade El Idolo (with Jose the assistant)
- FTR vs. The Gunn Club (with Billy Gunn)
