The Glossop Vehicle Enthusiasts Club’s annual big event filled Manor Park with people and motors last weekend.

There was something for everyone at Sunday’s Classic and SSAFA Vehicle Show – with everything from cars (vintage, classic and custom), military vehicles, trucks and vans.

The entrance being free for the public, there was a good crowd throughout the day.

Glossop Duty Firefighters were also on hand and carried out a road crash demonstration, while children also had the chance to wear fire kit and get their hands on some gear.

Dave Swallow, on behalf of the GVEC committee, said: “Thank you to all of our participants, traders, charities, emergency services, raffle team, marshals and public for a wonderful show.

“Bravo to all the trophy winners. We’ve taken a lot of money for charity and will announce the total once it’s all counted.”

Net proceeds from the event, which came from show entry fees, will go to three charities: SSFA (the Armed Forces Charity), Willow Wood and Crossroads Derbyshire.

Tameside Radio also broadcast live from the event. You can listen to the coverage again on the radio’s Facebook page and on tamesideradio.com
