CEO of oOh!media Cathy O’Connor is set to reveal a glimpse of regional advertising success during a special address at the Newcastle Business Club on Tuesday August 2.
O’Connor, who joined Australia’s largest out-of-home media company in January 2021, will discuss how businesses of all sizes in regional communities can effectively use marketing to engage consumers at scale and drive growth.
Attendees of the event at the Newcastle Yacht Club will also enter the race to win $10,000 oOh! advertising package.
The CEO is one of Australia’s most recognized media industry leaders in the country. She joined oOh! after 12 years at the helm of Nova Entertainment, where she guided the company – which owns the Nova and Smooth radio networks – into a multi-platform entertainment business.
O’Connor has also held several management positions at Austereo after starting his career at 2SM and 2GB in radio advertising sales. She is also a Governor of the Cerebral Palsy Alliance Research Foundation, Chair of the Sony Foundation and previously served on the board of Commercial Radio Australia.
At oOh! she leads the company’s strategic evolution in an era of rapid change, capitalizing on the company’s significant investments in data, audience insights, content and creativity to target sustained growth. She also emphasized the company’s goal of improving public spaces for the benefit of all citizens.
