Bring your little ghosts, goblins, zombies, princesses, pirates, superheroes and more to Findlay Automotive on Sunland Drive – the economy side of the highway – this Friday for a spooky good time. The sponsors will distribute candy from their trunks between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.

“If you love Halloween, you should definitely come join us,” said LaRae Nelson, co-host of “Lukas and LaRae in the Morning” on Planet 105.1. “It’s a great way to inspire kids to have a fun Halloween weekend.”

Trunk or Treat is a fun and safe way for kids to enjoy tricks or treats, which Nelson says is the best part of Halloween. Even though they’re still wandering around their neighborhood on Halloween, they’ll have another chance to show off their costumes and collect more candy. The event has been extremely popular in recent years and she looks forward to making it an annual tradition again.

Trunk or Treat is free and open to all local children and parents. Please bring your own bags for the candy collection.

This year’s sponsors include radio stations Findlay Automotive, Root for Kids and Canyon Media Planet 105.1, Sunny 101.5 and Juan 106FM, among many others. Nelson said kids will be able to trunk or heal themselves in more than 20 different cars.

Ben Lindquist, managing director of Canyon Media, said hosting fun, community-based events is one of the best things about the media business. He’s excited to bring Trunk or Treat back to provide a safe environment for kids and parents to get outside and enjoy the fall weather.

“As a parent myself, I think it’s amazing to live in a place that has activities like this for kids,” he added. “It certainly doesn’t happen without great sponsors like the Findlay Auto Group.”

Findlay Automotive is committed to making Southern Utah a better place for everyone to live. Continuing a long history of giving back to worthy causes in the community, the dealership has donated more than $200,000 in total to the Southwest Wildlife Foundation and Washington County Sheriff Search & Rescue since opening in 2009.

This summer, they partnered with the Washington County School District Foundation to “fill the bus” with donations of school supplies and essential items for at-risk students.
