Radio Christmas, a party radio station broadcasting in the heart of Amersham, made December a special time for residents.

The number one self-proclaimed party charity radio station is run entirely by volunteers from a makeshift studio in Sycamore Road, raising money for the Street Kids Direct charity.

They brought listeners a fantastic variety of music and shows throughout the month of December, right up to Christmas Day.

Street Kids Direct has a studio in Protection Home in Guatemala City that links up with them to bring you shows from around the world as well.

Street Kids Direct, which is run by several Amersham volunteers, works with street children and youth and with vulnerable families to prevent children from living on the streets in Guatemala and Honduras.

A personal message from the Radio Noël team read as follows: “Thank you for listening to Radio Noël and for joining us during this festive period. We hope you like the variety of shows we have on offer and we wish you a very Merry Christmas.

“We would also like to thank you for your kind donations as we are here to raise funds to give Central American street children a happier Christmas and a happier future.

“100% of your donation will go directly to the projects we support in Guatemala and Honduras, so thank you for helping us make a difference. “

They add: ‘All donations are doubled due to £ 25,000.00 matching funding, so give your all you can. It will make such a big difference in the lives of vulnerable children and youth. “

There are several ways to listen to the station now; including on your phone via an app, online or via 87.7FM. Find out more about how to log in at radiochristmas.co.uk/radio/how-to-listen
